Legalism strictly speaking is the belief or mindset that thinks a person can be saved by doing enough good deeds or by being a nice enough person. While some people may hold to the “I’m okay with God because I’m a good person” philosophy, such people do not appear to grace our churches regularly. From my own personal experience, churches that regularly and faithfully preach the gospel have congregations who know that salvation is by faith and faith alone.
