Praise God that He has blessed us so richly and abundantly even in this time of restrictions and rampant disease. Pray for Gavin Priest and the wider family as they mourn the loss of Gavin’s father-in-law. Pray that the compassion and love of Jesus would be close to each family member giving them strength and perseverance. Pray that the family would be surrounded by loving people to support and bless them through this time. Pray that God would help the authorities in Vic, NSW and, indeed, around the world bring the viral spread under control. Pray that the churches would raise up a voice of hope and compassion in the world to support the suffering, the needy, the hurting and the afflicted. Pray for those who are unwell or who have had procedures recently. Pray that the Lord’s hand of compassion would be upon them and that He would bless them with rapid healing and restoration. Pray that nation’s leaders at all levels would have continued wisdom to know the best way forward to protect lives, to boost the economy and to bring back normalcy as much as possible.
